I pulled her out and there I was ...
at deadman's curve.
Some people look for the first robin, others a daffodil sprouting up through the ground. Me? I look for the first car show .... yah baby!

Wilbur the Pale Rider
I've been through Odessa on a horse with no name,
You know it felt good to be rid of that rain
In Odessa you have to remember your name
'cause there ain't no one for to comb over your mane

Like to Write?
Ever thought about writing a book? Or maybe even publishing a photo book of your favorite images? Well, if you have, I encourage you to attend the informative Delaware Christian Writers Conference in nearby Newark on Saturday, April 25th.
My friend, John Riddle, puts on a magnificent workshop filled with tons of information for the wannabe or experienced writer.
Check it out and I hope to see you there!

A Spectacular Spectacle!
"2009 Cherry Blossom Festival"
The Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington DC was everything it was billed as, and more! The beautiful, deep blue sky made for a magnificent background for these willowy pink and white buds.
The photography club went down for a day trip Saturday, along with a few million others, and we were not disappointed. In fact, we were surprised by the kindness extended by fellow strangers. We befriended a couple young women who walked with us for a good bit of the afternoon. Others were generous with directions and pleasantries. Although it was super-crowded, the mood was one of awe in God's splendor.

A Bloomin' Good Time
"Dizzying Daffodils"
Odessa, Delaware
1/125 sec at f/6.3 ISO 100
"Daffodils"
I wander'd lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.
Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the Milky Way,
They stretch'd in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.
The waves beside them danced; but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
A poet could not but be gay,
In such a jocund company:
I gazed -- and gazed -- but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:
For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.
