Nothing Like a Roaring Spring
In a beautiful and fertile limestone valley that was once called The Great Cove, there is a great spring. It is said that the roar of the spring water could be heard from miles around. Geologists believe that there is a subterranean lake in The Great Cove, and that the spring is an outlet from this lake ... and so begins the legend of Roaring Spring, Pennsylvania.
But, enough history, I was there little bit Sunday for their dam car show (get your mind out of the foul language gutter). In the between the raindrops, I got in a few shots:

One if by land, two if by air
Falcoln Frenzy
Stumbled upon a national Falcon car owners convention today. The Falcon Clubs of America were holding their Diamond (30) anniversary in Dover. I was totally surprised by the turnout since this car has been extinct for almost 40 years. It does have a very loyal following though, with cars from as far away as California and Ontario making a statement on the hot pavement. Although, it was clear the show attracted a much older crowd, evident by the impromptu motorized wheelchair races in the parking lot.

Feathers, Fur and Steel Alloys
Took a quick trip down to Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge last evening. I wanted to get an update on the fox den, but do you think I could find it? I thought for certain I remembered where it was, but I was wrong. The weeds had grown up, the water table had risen and nothing looked the same. But you know what? It didn't matter, for I saw all kinds of beautiful scenes on that gorgeous evening.

What Am I?
Any guesses?
Answer: A smooth cement shelf accented from the shadows of an wrought iron fence above it.

Cool Dude!
PHOTO TIP: Extreme temperatures, hot or cold, can be detrimental to your camera's operation. The stifling heat of summer can play havoc with your camera's electronics, and battery life, as can the arctic cold, especially if you travel with your camera in the car a lot of the time.
For the price of a cheap, supermarket freezer bag (maybe $5?), you can greatly improve your camera's well being. Keep one of these handy-dandy, super portable bags in your car or trunk and then store your whole camera bag inside the thermos-like apparatus and you will always have a room-temperature camera ready to go!
Plus, it's a bag that doesn't yell, "There's an expensive camera in here, steal me!"

Pajama Glamour
Here's a good article about the mainstream acceptance of boudoir photography from the current issue of Professional Photographer magazine, sub-titled, "Boudoir for Real Women."

Lord of the Flies
Next time flies bug you (bug you, get it?), just think of the animals in the wild who deal with it 24/7. This poor Bombay Hook NWR fox (above) was making all kinds of funny faces trying to rid himself of the pesky little annoyances. I hate it when they get in my hair!

From a car show, yesterday, in Middletown, DE. One of the nicest ones I've been to ... kudos to the organizers. They had food vendors and a very good turn out, although I didn't see any custom vans, which I had hoped would make a comeback at these type shows. One car owner had two mannequins in it (Elvis was in the front passenger seat and Maryilyn Monroe was stretched out in the back). Wouldn't it be cool to drive down the road with those passengers?!

It's gonna be a bright, bright sun-shiney day
Spotted this beautiful cloud formation on the way home last night. The early evening, golden sun bounced off just the tips. My photography skills didn't do it justice, so this is a tweaked version.
