As a few of you know, and many more who couldn't care less, I live just a few miles from Dover's (DE) Monster Mile. As you would imagine, on race week, the traffic around here is pretty heavy. At the conclusion of last night's race and taking my life in my own hands, I ventured out to Route 13 to capture a few images of the steady flow of traffic as they headed back to Hometown, USA.

Although I got rained out of good picture opportunities, I had a blast at the Maryland Renaissance Festival yesterday. I had a chance to spend the day with my newest nephew-in-law as we both took in the sights and sounds of 16th century England.

Stepping Back to the 16th Century

Just realized that I am going to have a chance to take in the Maryland Renaissance Festival tomorrow. While my wife attends a bridal shower near Easton, Maryland I am going to hop over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and check out the pirate weekend during my first ever renfaire experience. For some odd reason, I am really looking forward to this.

Look for my followup post on Sunday and, hopefully, I will have some good photos to share providing my pirate eye patch doesn't interfere with my sight too much.
