Take Me Out to the Ballgame ...

... and boy, did they ever! A very special thank you to Kevin Sturgis, Sam Ferguson and Scout Troop/Pack 902 for their gracious invitation to join them at a Blue Rocks baseball game this evening. I got held up in traffic and missed the boys on their pre-game activities, but was afforded some great shot opportunities from a terrific third baseline seat.

Middletown Life is holding its second annual local photography contest for anyone who can capture the best Middletown scene. The photo may be indoors or outdoors, funny or serious - it's up to you, but it must be about Middletown.

Anyone can participate, regardless of whether you are a professional or an amateur, a digital photographer, hobbyist or a film expert, an outdoor enthusiast or studio photographer. You can submit as many photos as you want. Images will be judged on overall photographic and artistic quality. Best of all, this contest is free! There are absolutely no entry fees ... so enter today and you may win!

The deadline for entries is September 30, 2008. The winner will have his or her photograph published in the Fall 2008 edition of Middletown Life along with an optional biography. Good luck!

The Hunt for Red October ...

The digital photography class went on a "photo" scavenger hunt yesterday in Newark, DE. You had to find 17 items as you walked along Main Street. Everyone, but me, completed the task and did it with imagination and artistic creativity. Drop me an email, if you'd like a copy of the list to try it on your own.
